The breeding cycle of the Welsh Mountain ewe means that our lamb is a seasonal delicacy, only available each year from August to March. Our lambs remain out-of-doors throughout the year, eating only home produced grass and hay with maybe a few sugar beet nuts in hard winter weather. As a result they are fit, healthy and naturally lean, as well as being full of flavours from the wild herbs on which they graze.

The Welsh Mountain breed is well adapted to the often-harsh environmental conditions found here in the valley. The sheep are smaller than many other breeds, and as a result, the various joints of meat may be a little smaller than you may be used to. Generally we will supply them as whole or half lambs, fully butchered and labelled. There are shoulders, legs, chops, neck, racks and breast with a whole animal amounting to a total weight of 10-20 kg.

We will only supply our lambs as a fresh product so they must be prepared to order. We therefore will require prior notice to allow time for butchering and delivery.
